Spring Meadows – New Development in Northwest Plymouth Selling Well Ahead of Schedule

Spring Meadows Monument Plymouth Minnesota

Spring Meadows Monument

To say the Spring Meadows development, located in the Wayzata School District in northwest Plymouth, is doing well is to downplay just exactly how well they are doing out there.  The neighborhood is being built out substantially faster than the developers expected.  The demand for custom homes priced between $600,000 – $800,000 caught even the optimists off guard.

Feel free to check it out for yourself.  Take a drive to northwest Plymouth.  From downtown Plymouth at Highway 55 and Vicksburg, head north on Vicksburg about a mile and a half and you’ll see all the Spring Meadows new homes on the west side of Vicksburg.

In talking with the builders and the agents, the demand for new construction in the Wayzata School District does not appear to be slowing at all.

Other neighborhoods are also doing well including Taylor Creek and Woodcrest – both in the Wayzata School District.  Hampton Hills is doing well although probably not at the same pace as Spring Meadows in part as it’s located in the Osseo School District.  Osseo schools are good, but just not seeing the same demand as we are for Wayzata.

Hampton Hills Beauty by Homes by Tradition – Arlington Model’s Fabulous Lighting!

Homes by Tradition Hampton Hills Arlington Plan Parade of Homes #141

Homes by Tradition Hampton Hills Arlington Plan Parade of Homes #141

Homes by Tradition builds some beautiful homes and they certainly have done it again with the Arlington model which is being shown in the Parade of Homes Spring Preview #141 in the Hampton Hills neighborhood located in northwest Plymouth Minnesota.

It’s my understanding that his home is currently sold but you could choose to have this home built by Homes by Tradition on a different lot in Hampton Hills or Spring Meadows where they also have some lots available.

There were a couple of things that really struck me as I viewed the home.  There is a combination of old world charm combined with a light, bright open feeling.  The curvature in the entries is very different than what one finds in most new homes today.  That probably gives it the old world charm effect.  The floor plan is open and I’m sure the paint colors along with the many windows allow for lots of natural sunlight.  The home is good sized but not overly huge.  The main floor master suite is a big draw I’ve been told and can see why.

Homes by Tradition - Gorgeous Lighting in Informal Dining

What I wanted to call attention to was the striking nature of the lighting in this home.  It’s absolutely stunning.  Below are pictures so you can see them, but they really don’t do justice to the elegant, modern feel that they provide.  They really are an outstanding complement to the rest of the design of the home and they go way beyond much of the standard lighting seen in so many of the new homes today. The lighting was done by Southern Lights located in Burnsville Minnesota.

Homes by Tradition and their lighting designer are to be commended for the choices they made.  I suspect the lighting may have pushed the budget a bit but what a difference it can make in a home.  A few thousand dollars in lighting can make a good home a spectacular home as long as the style works well with the rest of the home.

The rest of the home is just as beautiful and it’s no wonder the home sold during the first two weeks of the Parade of Homes.  Learn more about Homes by Tradition or certainly stop out and see their new homes on display during the Parade of Homes in Hampton Hills which runs through April 1, 2012.

Enjoy the gallery below of photos from the Arlington model in Hampton Hills.  The photos are courtesy of Homes by Tradition and are being published with their full approval.  To see even more of the pictures of this home or to view other beautiful homes that they have built, check out the Homes by Tradition Facebook Page.

New Developments in Plymouth MN – Custom Homes and National Builders

So you want to buy a new home, as in new construction, but you’re not sure where to start?  If you’re looking for custom or semi-custom homes, a good place to start will be in northwest Plymouth as there are many new home developments going up.  It’s a boom again!  As my associate, Ben Johnson states in his blog post Plymouth is Building:

If you want to see the antithesis of the new home construction business being in the tank, head to Plymouth, MN. Go West on Highway 55 past I-494 then North on Vicksburg, when you get to about 55th, hang a right or a left, just keep going or turn around; in every direction you’ll find the streets lined with tradesman’s trucks.

There are many new developments in Plymouth.  They are as follows

For more information on Plymouth and new developments in the area, please continue to check back here at Northwest Plymouth where I will continue to chronicle the build out in northwest Plymouth, Maple Grove and Medina.  At some point in the next few years, perhaps there will even be development in Corcoran!  I have published a lot of information on Plymouth and new construction at my main blog at John Murphy Reports.   Specifically with regard to Plymouth, there are over 4,700 separate links or entries on Google – http://JohnMurphyReports.com/Plymouth.   I’m not aware of anyone else who is providing this much information for home buyers and sellers in Plymouth.

If you’re interested in new construction then you will not want to miss my newly released Plymouth, MN New Construction Report.  Get your free copy here.

Parade of Homes Plymouth, MN – Are Baby Boomers Back? Observations After Touring Taylor Creek and Hampton Hills

Janet and I had a chance to tour a number of homes yesterday during the Parade of Homes.  We visited the neighborhoods of Taylor Creek and Hampton Hills.  There were a lot of baby boomers out looking at new homes!  I’m used to seeing a younger crowd but this one, at least on this particular day, tilted heavily in favor of the gray haired baby boomers!  It will be interesting to watch this develop and see if it’s a possible trend.

Gorgeous houses…if you get a chance, go take a look.  You can view probably 8-10 homes within 60-90 minutes depending upon your pace.  They are all very close to each other.  Below are my thoughts on touring yesterday.
