The City of Plymouth, MN just purchased a 5 acre parcel of land from Myron and LeeAnn Kuklok for $655,000. The land will be used for more park space. The 5 acre parcel is located on the east side of Dunkirk Lane in northwest Plymouth where there is lots of new development going on and based upon what I was able to find on the tax records, here’s the link to the subject property.
Dunkirk Lane is currently a gravel road with no city sewer and water, but it is expected to develop over the next couple of years. Ground is just being broken right now on the newest Plymouth neighborhood called Terra Vista. Spring Meadows 2nd addition runs along the east side of Dunkirk Lane about one mile south of County Road 47. This area is all within the Wayzata School District.
Having a dedicated city park along Dunkirk Lane will make it even more appealing to develop other properties in the area. Rumor has it that demand for the new Terra Vista neighborhood is very strong even though they just started breaking ground this past week.

Seems like that adjoins the Plymouth Gun Club firing range. I don’t think I’ll be taking our kids to this park!

Adam, sorry for the delay in responding. The park, as I understand, won’t be too far from the Plymouth Gun Club. Certainly there will clearly be sounds of gun fire in the area.
